Project — Robyong Chandelier Installation for Joglo Bal

Hans Copper Lighting contributed to the restoration and spatial enhancement of Joglo Balaikambang through the installation of a custom Robyong chandelier — a traditional Javanese lighting form reinterpreted with refined metalwork and premium finishing.

Placed at the ceremonial center of the Joglo’s architectural axis, the chandelier reinforces the grandeur of the timber structure and its intricate carved details. Its multi-tiered arms and warm light distribution enrich the spatial atmosphere during gatherings, cultural events, and receptions held within the Joglo.

The fixture is handcrafted using a combination of brass, copper, and sculpted metal components, finished with traditional motifs to harmonize with the heritage character of the building. Beyond illumination, this Robyong chandelier serves as a symbolic representation.
